Re: Cherry Audio oscilloscope module oscillates between high framerate and low framerate
Yeah I expected it was something like this. Thanks for explaining it in more detail!! This is then not a problem that can really ever be eliminated by upping the UI update rate? It would not be sufficient to simply match that update rate to your display, because it's the interaction between the soun...

@utdgrant
Yep thanks for the correction. Here's the answer @MRBarton previously gave. If any moderator wants to move my message there, that would be fine.

Re: VM900 904A 24db filter noisy?
If I crank the Regeneration up to approx. 88% with no input I get a hum. Is that what you are talking about? Thanks for mentioning this! Some electronic musicians are into making music with zero inputs using hardware (Zero Input Mixing). I have tested some ways of doing this in VM. The 904A sounds ...

Re: VM900 904A 24db filter noisy?
Mark Barton wrote those, so I'd be surprised if they exhibit any noise that the actual analog modules didn't. He's really the expert at that sort of thing. You might drop him a line and see what he says. I also wouldn't be surprised if the original modules didn't have a sometimes noticeable noise f...

Re: Voltage Modular Feature Requests
I'm not sure if this has been talked about before, but one point of friction for me is that whenever I initialize VM in Ableton on Windows 10, the preferred patch cable color, patch cable transparency and window zoom have not been saved. This might just be a software issue of some kind on my end, bu...

VM900 904A 24db filter noisy?
Hi all! I can't find a more appropriate forum for VM900 specific questions, so I'm asking here: Is the 904A filter supposed to output so much noise? With no input, as well as at input voltages where a waveform does not start deforming, the 904A filter seems to have very audible noise - which is fine...

Re: Cherry Audio oscilloscope module oscillates between high framerate and low framerate
Any module can exhibit this behavior in VM, because most of the UI is running in a timer thread at 200 samples/s, and not at the full sample rate. I first spotted this when writing my Poly VMeter module, which is why it has a control to change the UI timer within reasonable limits. Reid Hmm, so why...

Re: Cherry Audio oscilloscope module oscillates between high framerate and low framerate
Do you mean something like this? If so, I think this is typical. An oscilloscope exhibits a kind of aliasing depending on the frequency of the incoming waveform, kind of like the visual aliasing of a wagon wheel in a movie. With VM, that aliasing is kind of jerky. I usually activate one of the Auto...

Cherry Audio oscilloscope module oscillates between high framerate and low framerate?
Hi guys, I've been using the VM900 and Voltage Modular Ignite bundles for a few weeks now, and I love experimenting with them! One minor complaint I have though, is that in Ableton on Windows 10, on my (very) high end computer, the Cherry Audio oscilloscope's UI oscillates between being a smooth hig...
