Re: Miniverse Modular vs Laboratory SM Voice

The SemiModular Voice is a design early in my journey with Cherry. The oscillators and filter are unlike anything I have done since. One day I should be obliged to revisit the code in those early Laboratory modules. If nothing else, I can make them more CPU efficient. I promise I won't change the wa...

Re: Pitch bend range

Correct. The bend range is fixed and there are no plans to change it. Sorry.

Re: Mutable AKA Audible still upcoming?

My SYRUP filter, both mono and poly versions is inspired by Mutable's Ripples filter and provides additional features. Ripples was analog. Also part of the LUXURY FILTER BUNDLE.

Re: Eddie Jobson - Alaska "Swoop" Sound

Sorry about the preset. For some reason I get a file extension error when I try to post it. I've posted other presets in the past and don't know what's going on this time. I'll work it out. I'm glad you like the Memorymode, but I was not the author of that one. I did write Miniverse and will put tha...

Re: Eddie Jobson - Alaska "Swoop" Sound

Mr. Leaf, Yes, you are missing something simple, but not obvious. That is, the difference from one CS-80 to another. These are analog machines with 5% resistors and 10% capacitors. This means that the pitch bend time can vary almost 30% from one unit to another. We had two CS-80s as "go-bys&quo...

Re: Hello! 70s PROG

Just had a listen to the track and it seems to me that the synth technique is a rip of Pete Townshend's "Won't Get Fooled Again" intro just with a more gentle envelope on the gating. The 2600 processing an organ will do it just fine. See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5voNyRmvXs --mb &q...

Re: Envelope generator max decay and release time

Take a look at the SSM2055 envelope generator chip. My latest EGs are simply software versions of the diagram shown on the spec sheet. The whole EG is much less than one screen of code and is very efficient.
