2 Newbie Miniverse Questions

Post by Tannery Row »

1. Is there no way to map velocity, or am I missing something?
2. How do I save my MIDI mapping within a daw so that it comes up every time I instantiate Miniverse? (I use Logic Pro on a Mac.)

Sorry for the newbie nature of these questions.

No velocity response in Miniverse, just like the original.

For Logic Pro (which blocks the MIDI mapping done within instruments), you'll need to use Logic's own methods of control mapping.

In Logic, it's easy to map things like velocity to synth parameters. You use the MIDI FX device called Modifier. Here's a video showing how.

You can map velocity to more than one parameter just by adding another Modifier.

If you have Voltage Modular and the Plug-in Host modules, you can use velocity with Midiverse (the Instrument). For example, velocity can be mapped to the volume of all three Oscilators.
