What synth/ROMper is Dreamsynth based upon?

Dreamsynth is a tribute to the celebrated hybrid analog/digital synthesizers of the mid-to-late 1980s.

Is there a particular synth or ROMper that has most of the waveforms Dreamsynth has? Or maybe similar ones? I am thinking in terms of hardware. I love Dreamsynth for new age, cinematic and orchestral pads and textures.

I wouldn't think so. Dreamsynth is an original creation, not a clone of anything.

I guess I may not find another hardware or software equivelent, then. I made over 25 patches for it. Anyone try BT Phobos from Spitfire Audio? Its another prime example of a perfect ROMper & synth in one with TONS of samples. I hope Dreamsynth adds more waveforms in a future version!

Well, to be fair, Spitfire Audio is all about the samples; they only supply an app so everyone will have something to play it with.
