Yeah i think the prb i have with my rx 6800 xt amd and amd 5950x, is when it check for updates and sounds, it glitches cubase..

Well, i write music in renoise, and it works fine in renoise, so if this doesn't work well in Cubase i will stick with renoise when i want to use this .. Its great...

I use VM in Cubase Pro 12 on an Intel Core i7-9700 with no dedicated graphics card and what I experience is that the bar graphs in Cubase stall multiple times for a second or two when VM does its "Getting your stuff... " and "Checking for updates..." thing, but that's it. The audio continues without any dropouts. Once the initialization and update process is finished everything behaves normally.
Since the CPU has 8 cores I let VM use all 8 cores for mixing. I've noticed that VM takes more CPU than the average VST instrument, especially when patches use more than just a handful of modules, so I usually freeze VM tracks when I'm done with tweaking the sound and that helps a lot.
