unfortunately Voltage Modular is up today not very optimized for M1 CPUs.
Crackles and noise all around the way, CPU spikes, the smallest (not only!) FM Patches (50 Gallon Bass) for example are still unusable up to date.
My System:
MacBook Pro 16, M1 Max, latest Bitwig Studio (native silicon), Core Audio, 128 Samples buffersize. On some patches the CPU is maxed out with over 90%, no chords played, only ONE! note. No problems with these patches on my 8 year old PC so far.
By the way, over 50% of all Macbooks are now M1 devices.
