Did you hear a rumor? Do you have any evidence to suggest there's a 3.0 in the works? Or is this just wishful thinking?

Do you want VM3 to be designed so that all existing VM2 modules will work flawlessly with it? Or do you want people to have to buy all new modules?

I,d Like polished look, oversampling like on vstis, higher sample rates when desired…

I have the exact same thought today. Should I continue purchasing modules for VM, or is it a waste of money in the long run?
I like VM as is, but it could do with some improvements.
An indication that development is going on would be nice.

Hi,

We don't have version 3.0 in the works at the moment, but we certainly don't plan on abandoning Voltage Modular, and we do actively promote new modules from third party developers on social media and in newsletters, etc.

Thank you for the answer, Greg.
Beside VM, I also love all of your virtual instruments. I understand you can’t to all at once.
I will await the time, when CA is ready to lift VM to the next level, like a child waiting for Christmas gifts :-).
Until then, I will pass the time enjoying the wonderful modules, produced by the engaged and creative third party developers.
Keep up the good work.

I still don't get it. What is it that 3.0 would bring? Other companies keep bringing out new version after new version after new version and many of those companies do that so they can sell the new versions to their existing user-base. To me the fact that Cherry Audio doesn't do that is a good thing. Why make the current version obsolete?

I totally agree. I just wanted to be sure the product is alive, and new features and bug fixes will come. Not a new version, for the sake of a new version.
