Hi,
This often happens to me. I search for a module, just want to select it and suddenly something updates and the browser jumps back to the top. A function to disable this behavior would be very nice!

Yeah it's a nuisance. I simply avoid using the Browser for the first 30 seconds or so after booting VM. "Getting Your Stuff", "Downloading Images", "Updating Catalog", "Syncing to Server", all that stuff that we really don't need to know about except that it interferes with using the program.

Yep, as you say, it does appear to only be an issue during the 'start-up' phase.huggermugger wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2023 12:18 pm Yeah it's a nuisance. It's really a nuisance if you own a lot of modules. Even on a fast machine it can take several minutes to go through all its boot rigamarole.

Not even a comment from Cherry Audio about this really annoying issue.
I did some debugging with support month ago. But nothing changed.
Is mostly an issue for people who spend quite some money on VM-Modules.
Got me to try VCV again. Starts immediately and refreshes only when I want.
I don't get the problem. What is so difficult to take this routine out of start-up and only run it on the refresh-button.
Or an option to choose if it should check on start-up or not.

I also put quite a bit of money into Voltage Modular. I also think a short feedback would be nice.

I have not seen that before but that is indeed helpful. Thank you very much! Unfortunately, this solves only part of the problem. The browser jumps back to the beginning for all sorts of reasons.
