Easy way to transpose MIDI input

Memorymode is based upon one of the very best-sounding polyphonic programmable analog synthesizers of the 80s, the legendary Memorymoog synthesizer.

Easy way to transpose MIDI input

Post by spacepickle »

Using memorymode in conjunction with a keyboard for a live performance in a small worship band. Is there an easy way to transpose incoming MIDI input in half-step increments? The idea is for our keyboardist to easily transpose in order to match the capo of the guitar. The keyboard we use does not have this ability built in :|

If there's some feature i didn't know about in Memorymode or something that would be nice, I am fine with downloading a third-party preset though.

Is there some reason you don't just use the master tuning knob?

MIDI-OX can this. Plenty of guides online but basically your real MIDI goes into MIDI-OX, gets transposed using a note map, then is sent out to wherever.

MIDI-Yoke or loopMIDI might be needed for the output, depending on your set-up.
