PS3300 MIDI spec

PS-3300 is an exactingly faithful virtual analog emulation of the massive semi-modular analog polyphonic synthesizer released by Korg in 1977.

PS3300 MIDI spec

Post by Dazbags »

Many synths have a predefined MIDI spec for all the parameters e.g. an RPN or NRPN for each control. Are all the PS3300 parameters controllable in this way? And do you have to manually configure each one, or is there a predefined spec for them all?
Thanks,
Darren

I've just read the MIDI part of the PS3300 docs and it sounds like the only messages that can be mapped to hardware MIDI controllers are the 128 CCs (Continuous Controls)...

That would make sense, as that's how it works for all the other CA synths, and I can't imagine CA wouldn't have leveraged an existing mechanism.

Correct, and we do not provide a default mapping. No NRPN.
