For some reason I have two 'eight to one switch' modules in my library.
Anyone else seeing this?
CA eight to one switch - duplicate
Re: CA eight to one switch - duplicate
Nope, just one instance in my library (so far... )

Re: CA eight to one switch - duplicate
This is like a bug I had with the browser and Cabinets. Two or three of them insisted on displaying duplicates (with the yellow dot), which came back even if I deleted them.

If I clear the yellow dot it reappears after a couple of seconds.huggermugger wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2024 11:47 pm This is like a bug I had with the browser and Cabinets. Two or three of them insisted on displaying duplicates (with the yellow dot), which came back even if I deleted them.
Maybe it'll 'sort itself out' eventually
No big deal either way.

Re: CA eight to one switch - duplicate
Hello everyone !
fine weather today here.
I have exactly the opposite but with the CA amplifier: two occurrences, appearing in "all" and in "Utility", and, immediately after I put the star, the star disappears.
I remember trying to characterize the module with the Tag Editor to make it appear in a "A moi" (To me) section, but it did not wanted to follow my demand !
I also remember having moved the presets folder from C:\users\"me"\appData\and_so_on to D:\Voltage Modular\Presets
Is it the reason why ?

Re: CA eight to one switch - duplicate
I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling VM and that sorted it out. I guess something got screwed up on my machine, but all ok now.
Re: CA eight to one switch - duplicate
Maybe don't need to reinstall next time . . .
I had a problem with a module picture that wouldn't download (ARP 2500 mixer? Its' the same module as the most recent VM2500 forums comment bug report)
inside VM/settings/general, try using the "Delete Module Files" button - it'll re-download all your modules and maybe fix the error.
also of note is the "Show Log Files" button. That'll take you to the directory where VM logs are stored, which is inside the major directory for many interesting VM files, including the modules folder. if you're adventurous, see if there's a duplicate module in there, and delete that.
(I solved my library module picture issue by finding the cache folder missing-images.txt file, noting the name of a picture that was missing (ex. 9774.png) looking in the images folder, seeing that there was a picture in there for my missing module picture called 9775.png, renamed 9775.png into the name that the missing-images.txt file was looking for (9774.png), and changing the name of the missing-pictures.txt file into missing-pictures.txt.old (in case I want that file back if VM blows up from my tinkering).)
that picture name thing is probably a minor coding fat-fingering
happy voltering!
