Pitch bend range

Atomika is Cherry Audio's painstakingly crafted emulation of the Polivoks synthesizer manufactured at the Formanta Radio Factory between 1982 and 1990.

Pitch bend range

Post by Sonicsynth »

Atomika is a synth that cries out for a pitch bend range far greater than 2 semi tones??
I do not see an option for adjustments.

Correct. The bend range is fixed and there are no plans to change it. Sorry.

Wow, that's really bad news. The manual says the bend can be adjusted by "setting of the Bend Depth slider at the bottom left of Atomika's UI". Obviously, that doesn't seem to exist. Why can't it be added? This thing sounds awesome, and the lack of greater pitch bend range is a real limitation.

Hi,

It turns out that was old text from earlier in the design process, and it's been removed from the manual. Thanks for reporting that.

The original synth didn't have pitch bend control, and the design layout for Atomika didn't have room for it, so it's not an option.

It could be added to the MIDI settings without altering the synth UI. I could also argue that there's room to the left of the three mixer knobs (move them over, put the control to the left of them).
