Hello!
Same here. windows 10 core i7 9700. I plugged one simple oscillator in the output and it's crackling at regular interval with a buffer size of 256 samples.
It goes away at 512 samples but this is not normal.
VM 2.2.3

Possibly not helpful, but all works fine for me. Windows 10. 2.2.3.

Thanks guys for the info. Win10 here too, btw, forgot to mention
It is the worse within Ableton Live, but even in standalone i have a few hiccups where it used to be very smooth.
I have to use a 512 buffer size where it was fine with 128 or even 64 before 2.2.3

Yes, before was just fine.

Hi Greg,
Maybe you misread ? I didn't say "it's back" i said maybe i should roll back:
I meant i should go back to an earlier version, but i did not do it because i finished my "project" on my second computer on which i did not update VM yet.
Since the update in VM is kind of automatic, i'm not even sure one can "roll back".
Anyway, increasing the buffer size helps but this version definitely takes a bigger toll on CPU than the previous version.
A bit like when VM got to 2.0, it was sluggish until some further adjustments.
Well, at least that's what it was for me ...
Thanks for chiming in !
