The Good Bug: I recently discovered that it's possible to add a cabinet *above* the host IO panel. To do this, right click next to the panel and choose to add a cab there.
I consider this very handy, and is a great bug to know about! I like to put some utility and testing modules up there, out of the way... and keep the modules related to my patch below where I can focus on them with less clutter.
But now, the Bad Bug: Saving a preset with any cabinets above the IO panel loses their positions when reloaded. The appear below the IO panel, instead of above where the had been before.
Attached are three pics. Creating the cabinet, saving it, and reloading it. Hopefully in the future we'll be able to choose to keep these cabinets up and out the way!

Not sure why only one of the three attachments stayed, all appeared on the "preview"... anyways:

Ok, it seems like there's a bug with the web forums attaching multiple files too
Re: Good Bug/Bad Bug: Cabinets above host IO panel
I don't think it's a bug. You can move the i/o panel up and down by clicking and dragging on it's left side. Same goes for the 'perform' section. I think that was introduced with v2 of VM. If the positions of the panels aren't being recalled then I guess that would be a bug though.
Re: Good Bug/Bad Bug: Cabinets above host IO panel
Very neat, I didn't realize those could be moved like that... thanks!
I tested again by moving the IO panel below the cabinet, rather than creating the cab above, and it looks like the position is lost with that method too. So the "bad bug" stands.
As far as the "good bug": I didn't think we were meant to be able to put a cabinet above the IO, since if you right-click *above* and choose to add a cabinet, it still appears below the panel. I guess since it's intended, a better suggestion would be to allow clicking above the panel to add the cabs up there too!
