Hi, i'm running some sampled audio through a sample and hold and a quantizer as part of a project...i would really like to generate some melodic ideas from this particular audio 'noise' source but it isn't that variable and things are sounding a bit static.
I'm wondering if there is any way to put something in between the sampler and the sample and hold that would allow me to control or vary how much variety in cv gets to the sample and hold.. if i understand, i think i need more range and more change in the cv coming through? i guess swapping out noise sources would be the simplest but i'd really like to use this particular sample 'because art'..
thanks for any ideas, hoping there might be something simple
making noise 'noisier'... adding range and change?

Sounds like CV Mapper could be what you need.
You could also consider inserting some sort of waveshaper like Bendr to manipulate the distribution of CV values.
