Re: .voltagepreset loading problem
There are lots of good fixes and changes in v2.7.0, and not all of them are listed in the changelog (just because the devs sometimes fix minor stuff and then forget to mention the fixes in the version history).

Re: .voltagepreset loading problem
Happy New Year. Thanks for the replies, Greg and Colin!
Re: .voltagepreset loading problem
I don't know if its fixed for everyone using VM 2.9.2 with Windows, but I was very pleased to see that opening a voltagepreset from Windows now opens Voltage Modular. Very glad to see this feature is now working!!!! Please don't take it away again.

I just took another look at the Change Log to see if I missed the Bug Fix when I first looked at it.Steve W wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2024 12:14 amI don't know if its fixed for everyone using VM 2.9.2 with Windows, but I was very pleased to see that opening a voltagepreset from Windows now opens Voltage Modular. Since the Bug Fix that was introduced with 2.7.0 is not listed, I can't help wonder if Cherry Audio doesn't realize how serious a bug it was and that the fix might disappear again.2.9.2 (6/27/2024)
- Uses Java 22 for speed and multi-threading improvements
- Able to load modules with more than 100 classes
- Fix for rare saved cabinet corruption
- Multiple speed improvements for large module libraries
- Fixed issues with saved cabinets that include Remote Control
- Fixed issues with auto-scroll engaging when modifying controls
- Connect/disconnect of jacks now only send one message for each change
- Fixed minor issues with the preset save dialog
- IO panel properly handles MIDI All Notes Off message
- Fixed "Randomize Controls" not working properly with Switch components
macOS System Requirements raised to macOS 11 Big Sur. macOS Catalina support deprecated.
The Voltage Modular preset browser is very limited and to me (and possibly others) being able to open Voltage Modular directly by selecting a voltage preset from a Windows folder or file directory utility (Windows or Third Party) provides a major workflow benefit.
Thanks again for fixing this, but please don't take it away again.

Re: .voltagepreset loading problem
Not including it in the release notes was just an oversight. The fact that it was fixed should confirm we took it seriously. I've added it to the release notes.

Thanks for the fix and for confirmation that it is considered important.
