Good evening !
I have a small problem: you wrote
The Voltage Modular update can be installed using the Sync Product Manager.
Maybe, but Sync doesn't see it, nor does the Voltage Modular Designer, even after many refreshes.
Is there a solution that I don't know, or a button that I haven't seen ? VM was installed well before Sync of course, but if Sync immediately saw the few instruments and effects that I had acquired, he never saw VM !

Similar problem here on macOS 14.5 - Voltage Modular and Voltage Modular Designer aren't showing up in CA Sync.
VM Designer 2.7.0 prompts that an update is available on startup, but VM didn't for me.
A manual install / update worked fine, but both VM and VMD still not showing up in CA Sync even after the 2.9.2 updates.
On a developer note, is it recommended that we update our JRE? I'm still on 18, but it looks like VM is now on 22, plus this doc page might need an update?

PS., I think it's
Big Sur, not
Big Sure (version history notes) Although every major macOS update is a
Big Unsure in my experience...

For the time being, Voltage Modular will no longer show up in Sync (VMD never did). Update through the app itself or through the download pages:

Typo ("Sure") fixed
Yes, it's probably a good idea for developers to update JRE to version 22, available at
https://jdk.java.net/22/ . We're still updating some copy on the website and user guides, and we'll get them updated to reflect these new changes.

Thank you for the clarification Mr. Robert! That’s of course what I did!

Updates for Voltage Modular have been re-enabled in Sync. If you are on macOS 10, please see
our recent post for details on why the update only applies to macOS 11 and above.

Well, when will you give us a Sync App to manage the modules, remove them if we are not using them, put them back when we want to use them again because in the end, this module was very interesting...
The question we ask ourselves is: if we put one in the trash in the library, is it permanent or will we be able to recharge it without having to pay again?
Regards

It is unlikely that Sync will evolve to include that kind of functionality for modules, which is best left to the user interface of VM itself.

For now, it's stable on Windows 11 touchscreens.
I would say that VA is getting closer to being a perfect touchscreen modular system.
thanks CA!
add)
I found a bug when patching the cable. (on touchscreen)
If the rack space is larger than the window, when patching a cable, the window moves along with it, making it impossible to move the cable. (In ver2.7, it was the same problem when dragging the knob.) If the rackspace is horizontally large, it becomes a serious problem. If the rack space was vertically large, the cable could be patched by touching the empty part of the rack space first. It's not perfect, but compared to 2.7 this is heaven.

I still have the "updating catalog" micro freezes but the list of modules doesn't jump to the top anymore. Still not ideal but it's at least an improvement.
Likewise, I still get all the sync messages in the lower LH corner when I boot VM, but the jumpiness is no longer there. That's good enough for me.
