DCO-106 Delay acting strangely

I'm using the DCO-106 v. 1.1.0 instrument in Logic Pro 10.6.3 on an Intel machine. I'm seeing something very odd. If I select the "Bright Pad 1" preset and play a chord, about 10 seconds after note-on, I hear the chord again, but at a lower volume. The Delay is turned on, but it's set for 500 ms, so I'd expect to hear it much sooner than 10 seconds later. If I turn the delay off, the problem goes away, so I think the issue is with the delay. It makes the patch unusable, as several chords later, it starts repeating the first chord over what I'm playing. Seems like maybe a buffer isn't getting cleared or something?

Hi,

Does the same thing happen in standalone version of DCO-106?

It looks like the same bug I've reported here : viewtopic.php?f=38&t=1814

Hi,

I thought this rang a bell, but I was thinking that one was fixed. Apparently, it's not. I'll check with the software developers.

For those following along, here are the steps to reproduce:

1. Select New.
2. Quit DCO-106 and then start it back up.
3. Turn on delay and play a note.
4. You hear the note play, and then there is a really long delayed echo, over 10 seconds later.
5. Readjust the Time slider slightly, and then you get the actual delay that's set on the slider.

So, the workaround (for now) is to tweak the time slider a bit.

This bug still appears to be there. One of my own sounds sometimes works OK and then other times the notes played are delayed by a very long way.

Select a sound with no delay and when you turn it on even though the delay time is 500ms it much much longer.

I've also noticed that the delay timing also goes all weird when you change the oversampling rate in the 106, EIGHT VOICE, Memory Mode and POLY MODE.

Hi,

You're right, I'm still seeing the problem in version 1.2.0 build 51. I'll update the bug report.

What happens with oversampling and delay in those plugins? What are the steps to reproduce that problem?

Greg

Hi Greg

Simply change the oversampling and the delay goes wonky again.

Hi,

Thanks, I'll add that to the bug report.

Hi,

Check for updates - we just released a build that fixes this issue.

Thanks for reporting this, everybody!

Note: this update also includes minor performance improvements, even for MG-1, which doesn't have a delay effect.
