Hey forum people, just want to say that when I found out about VM2500 it was like a very long-time dream come true. Syrinx was my favorite band as a little kid (yep, I'm old), and I still listen frequently. Thanks to a great photo at JMC's Facebook (see attached) I now know his 2500 module setup, which was as follows:
1023/1006/1023/1023/1045/1047/1005/1016/1047/1046/1050/1027
As soon as I figured that out, I made a quick preset with those modules in one line, also attached. Confession: I still haven't devoted the time to make VM comprehensible yet (will do some real woodshedding in the coming week), but if someone wants to make an actually workable version of said group of modules that would be awesome. Anyway I hope there are a few out there interested in JMC's work with the 2500.
EDIT: here's a great video of Syrinx from back in the day: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtwBQqnAJ9w.
EDIT 2: Good to see people are downloading the preset! FYI, both Syrinx albums can probably be found in their entirety on Utube. The first one (self-titled, 1970) is all Moog modular, and the second is the ARP. He lost the Moog in a studio fire.
EDIT 3: Aaaaand here's the same modules in 2 rows, because it's just more practical.
