'Cumulative' envelope response missing?

I've just downloaded the Minimode demo.
Am I doing something wrong?
In the original Model 'D' (and most soft-synth emulations), if you set up the filter envelope with release and retrigger a note before the envelope decays back to zero, you get a unique effect:
You should get a 'boost' to the attack peak on subsequent key presses. This will build up as you press the key more often, especially with as little 'key up' time as you can manage.
Gordon Reid explains it well in this review of Mini V (see section "Other Fixes and Niggles").
I can't hear this effect in Minimode. Am I doing something silly, or NOT doing something?
