ATQ Sensitivity and Herbicide controls added to Granular Synth

The Granular Synth has been updated to build #110. The module now includes some extra controls related to the ATQ (Automatic Transient Quantization) feature.

A new ATQ SENSITIVITY slider allows you to fine-tune the transient detection algorithm to get far more useful results than previously possible. Its default setting matches the old behaviour so your legacy presets will work as before.

Adjusting the slider to the left reduces the number of transients detected while adjusting the slider to the right increases the number.

One interesting aspect of this is that when the sensitivity is set at zero only one transient at the very beginning of the buffer is found. Then if the offset ATQ and size ATQ buttons are both engaged the grain size automatically becomes the length of the entire sample. This means that grains can have lifespans of several minutes if desired.

In such circumstances the MAX GRAINS knob allows a density ceiling to be set and one obviously would seek to control seeding carefully but in addition two new buttons called the "Herbicide Buttons" have been added. Both allow grains to be gracefully terminated. The red ! button is more aggressive than the orange one.

Full details of these new features can be found in the Offset and Size sections of the Granular Synth documentation at...
