Encore EOSafter

Just trying out encore and am finding that the module repeats its pattern twice before moving on to the next connected module via the END SEQ connection. The EOSafter is set to 1 play. If I change that to 2 plays then it plays the pattern 4 times before moving on. Is this a bug or am I missing something.
Thanks.

Hey DavyG
I was not aware of that and I am not really sure.... Will have to look in to it, but won't have time before next weekend to do that I'm afraid...
Will check it out anyway and will get back to you... It's already some time ago that I created it, so I don't know exactly how I intended it really...
You'll hear later!
cheers

Hi DaveyG
Did have some time to at least look...
Here an example how I might hook two ENCOREs up and they work fine after one run - both are set to 8 steps but less steps work just as well...
I hook up the EOS to its own STOP and to the PLAY of the other ENCORE...
That one in return STOPS itself using the EOS and PLAYs the first ENCORE..
You could also make sure they are RESET by hooking that up as well...
Hope that helps.. Otherwise please make a screenprint of your connections.
Cheers!

To be safe, I checked that behavior on both PC and Mac - both work the same - like in my previous post
Both of course then with the knob set to 1..
Cheers

Thanks for the response. I appreciate it.
I double checked my connections and they match yours. Occasionally it will play through once but mostly it plays the sequence twice on each module even when only set to play once. I'm using Windows 10 and VM version 2.7. I just sent you an email with an animated gif which shows it in action.
Cheers.

Hi David
I've seen your animated GIF, but don't see strange behavior there...
It seems like you started to record after having ENCORE run for a bit and did not RESET.. or at least that's what it looks like..
In principal ENCORE is an 8 step sequencer with the PURPLE LEDs showing the overall 8 steps....
When all of the steps are ON that means that the EOS is initiated after those 8 PURPLE steps...
The LIGHTER LEDs show the 'sub' sequences...
I split the 8 steps up into 2 x 4 steps (the TOP and BOTTOM rows) that can run by themselves...
That means that TOP and BOTTOM both run 2 times within the 8 overall steps.
As far as I can tell from your animated GIF that's what actually happens.
So again - this seems to function normally...
Cheers

And here another example - same sequence (although faster)..
The left set of oscillator, envelope and filter plays full sequence 1 and then sequence 2..
The right set osc, env and filt plays just the top sequences of both...

And the last one for today where I used the same sequence to drive an other manufacturer's module - the RFM_JOTNAR and also their MIX and DELAY Modules...
You will probably have to download those demos to listen...
