I am looking at this this thing thinking: "ok cool I can have the bass and kick in mono and start panning synths"...but it seems like I am going to need another mixer post eq. Any thoughts?

You shouldn't have to use a mixer after EQ. The basic setup would be to take your stereo signal and make it a mid/side signal. Then you pass the side signal through a HPF and transform the HPF and the mid signal back to stereo. To avoid phase issues due to delays introduced by the filter, also send the mid signal through a filter without altering it and use that to recreate the stereo channels.

Happy new year,
Martin

Thanks! I think it's right... check it if you get time.

check out also how I used the Matrix Mixer to set up an alternate drum mix with a badass filter sweep! I am sure I can take out redundant modules as usual

Wow, that's a really interesting patch - nothing more I can add, and loving your use of Matrix Mixer!

I am certain I am using it well below its potential! I am happy I bought this stuff, although it seemed somewhat esoteric at first glance
