Mapping two instances of VM in Logic

Hi there,

Are there any VM users that experience issues when trying to map several audio instrument channels with voltage modular inserted in Logic?
I am trying to map vm900 vm 2500 and west coast to my BCR 2000 controllers. After adressing the automation numbers to all knobs I map the knobs to my controllers using logic automation. Works fine with one VM channel. When closing the project the mapping is still there when re-opening. But then when i have mapped the second VM on another audio instrument channel the first looses it s mapping. There are some knobs that still respond but not the way I mapped them. I use the normal automation mapping procedure of Logic because i want to use it s automation editing afterwards. Anyone with any expertise or thoughts on this? Using logic 10.5.0 ( mojave system so no logic update possible). Been spending a lot of time to get this working with lot s of trial and error but no luck yet. Almost about to surrender to this as not possible…….any suggestions or feedback much appreciated

What are you trying to map? channelized CCs etc.?

These: https://store.cherryaudio.com/bundles/m ... ack-bundle might help meet your needs. I have an older PC and found they used more CPU resources than I could afford, but that might not be an issue on more recent computers. They were designed with the BCR2000 in mind. The midi learn handles channels. Not sure what the demo period is, but I would recommend demoing first so you can see if they will work for you.

Thnx for reminding me of these modules. I was aware of them. Contacted the developer some time ago.
The thing is that when you want to map a complete system 2500 and VM 900 and a DMT West coast you need to add a lot of these. Will be a quite cluttered screen I fear. I map them to four bcr2000 s…..
I read these can be used for max two controller knobs each. Not something I look forward to. But maybe it’s the only way to solve this.
A days work to map three systems and make it into a Logic template.
I refuse to give up on this.😊
First i get to my next trial and error which will be checking if it works in another DAW. If that fails too I can at least determine where to look next.
It could be a logic 10.5 bug.
Still no one that can confirm three channels of VM in Logic working properly and keeping the mapped knobs as programmed.….?
