I'm trying to copy the self-playing patch as shown in Youtube with PS-20.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMY3wOYXn98&t=112s
I tried this with Arturia MS-20V and Korg MS-20 VSTI and can get similar sound.
But in case of PS-20, I got some patching problem related to jacks.

Original MS-20 patching panel has a 'Trigger in' jack but there is no the same jack. I know Cherry audio has divided and added some jacks & function.
So If anyone knows the way where the cable from ENV OUT goes to, please let me know. I would appreciate that.

Regarding the matter of 'TOTAL' jack, I understood why PS-20 has seperate jacks, after searching forum.

I tried to replicate this patch, but the labels are all too small in your graphics, so I couldn't figure out what everything on the Korg was. I suppose the question you need to answer is, "What function does the signal on the problem cable perform in the Korg patch?" Once you know that, you can figure out where to plug that cable on the PS-20. Sorry not to be more help.

Thank you , Reid.
First of all, I'm sorry for your inconvenience. I add image links , so you can see the original sized images.

Original MS-20 including Arturia's one & Korg's one have a jack labelled 'TRIG IN' but PS-20 doesn't have it. I know the function of 'TRIG IN 'jack through reading original MS-20 manual. I think Cherry audio made the original fuction to separated ones maybe.

Hello !

I suggest that you patch ENV OUT in both EG1 and EG2 GATE IN, and forget GATE OUT: it seems to work almost (or quite ?) well !
Upload he MS 20 owner's manual from Korg, https://www.korg.com/us/support/downloa ... /134/2441/and read it : it can help. the Trig in jacks are explained Page 6 (page 22 if you want it in french  ), and page 7 and 8 is explained the external signal processor (and page 45 of the PS20 owner's manual from Cherry Audio) ;)

Looking at the full-sized images, it looks like the triggers are fed back Envelope Generators, apparently to cause a continuous retrigger. With that info, I'd suggest patching the PS-20's Env Out to the two EG's Gate In jacks. Hmmn. Looks like that's what Jean d'Oran suggested, as well. Well, that's two votes for that method.

Yes, right on! A a continuous retrigger is the point of self-playing patch.

I've already tried to patch ENV OUT in EG1 & EG2 GATE IN, but it didn't work.
I tried same thing in Korg MS-20 vsti & Arturia MS-20V and it didn't sound too.

So I patched ENV-OUT to VOC1 KEYB IN, VOC2 KEYB IN, then patched VOC1 OUT & VOC2 OUT both to EG2 GATE IN jack.
It works! It self-played. It sounds still far from the sound in youtube video though.

I think Cherry Audio might made some changes in internal signal flow(hard-wired) with separation of some patching points.
I replicated many self-playing patches in the site(https://www.youtube.com/@mimihana111 ) with my MS-20 emulation VSTIs, and Arturia's & Korg's sounded very close but PS-20.

I think PS-20 is not just an emulation of MS-20 and it is another different synth(Expanded one with polyphonic voices). So comparison with other authentic MS-20 emulation is meaningless. Anyways PS-20 is still a good synth! :)

Thanks for all!
