Reason RRP in VM

I tried running the Reason RRP in VM today, using Mini Plugin Host. The RRP contained a reverb RE (a port of Valley Plateau) running through a stock modulation effect, and the VM patch had not much going on. Within a few minutes, VM would freeze, and the only way out was a force quit. This happened four or five times. I tried with a stock reverb instead of Plateau. I also tried it with both the VST3 and the AU versions of the RRP.

I've submitted a support ticket, but wondered if anyone else has experience using the RRP in VM.

I've never tried using RRP under VM, only VM under the full Reason DAW (on Windows). I'll give this a test later.

Clutching at straws I know, but have you tried using the full-fat Plug-In Host rather than Mini?

No I haven't tried the full Plug-in Host. I'll do that. You never know.

I've just been playing about with this setup for about an hour. No problems to report.

Interesting. So I'm using Sonoma (latest) and the latest versions of VM and Reason. What about you?

When I run two RRPS like you did, and nothing else, I have no problem. I can play the patch all day. i can also change one of the two RRPs to a different plugin, with no problem. But as soon as I add another VM module to the patch, even just a stock LFO, I get the freeze within a minute. I've tried four times.

I definitely added multiple VM modules to the configuration above. For example:

Windows 10 Pro Version 22H2
VM 2.7.0 (Running standalone in my example)
Reason 12.7.4d3 (Build 15,815 Stable channel)

RRP loaded into VM Plug In Host modules as a VST3.

Until I do further testing, I'm going to take the easy way out and blame Sonoma.

I have RRP and Valley Plateau RE and tried to reproduce your problem. I even put 3 RRP's with Valley Plateau in a row but everything worked just fine. 9-12% CPU usage on an 11 year old PC running Win 10 Pro.
