Brief background: Cancer earlier in year, PINM began creeping into my fretting hand (4 decade bassist/guitarist) and I took up synths as a way of making music that would allow me to spend less time fretting notes and reduce strain/pain on that hand.
I came across pics of the old hardware Taurus units - as a bassist - VERY VERY COOL, right?!? <3 I'd never seen or noticed them before... Being a gearhead and generally interested in unusual stuff like this, I read up on it, what it could do and all about the various issues these have with reliability, construction, etc. and sadly wrote it off as something REALLY cool that I'd probably never own due to the frequent & extreme repair costs and reliability hassles.
So - I was THRILLED to come across this VST!!! I don't buy or own many premium (paid) VSTs, but this could very easily be one of the first!
Is there a floor controller unit - I'm assuming it would need to be midi to map the levers and pedals and send commands to the DAW - idk something like a source audio soleman? (just an example) Or is there another midi floor unit that could be made to software emulate to control the levers and pedals of the original unit(s) and handle the mapping to it? (*I'm okay with some manual or custom programming to get the mapping))
I could definitely see myself getting a LOT of mileage and enjoyment out of this VST paired with a hardware floor foot controller if that's possible! If not, it's still a remarkable find for my interests.
Primary relevant gear in play:
Korg Minilogue XD
Yamaha MX88
Akai MPC One+
Scarlett FocusRite 6i6
Novation Launchkey
Ableton Live 12
Arturia Collection X
I have guitar, bass and other amps and gear, so no issue there or in amplifying sound.
Thanks in advance for any guidance or ideas!

The Lowdown Bass Synthesizer recreates the super-fat, room-rattling sounds of the most legendary dual-oscillator bass pedal synth ever made.
