FR: List of cable connections

I find it very useful to look in detail at the patches created by others to see how things work.

One thing that trips me up (npi), though, is getting a good overview of the cable connections between the modules. At the moment, that needs a lot of scrolling (especially as the Zoom In needs to be big enough to read the names of the jack sockets) and cable appearance / transparency changes.

It would very handy if we could view the cable connections (module name (and instance) and jack name) as a simple list. For example, for "Cowbell1" (oddly the Drum Osc came up without any cable connections, maybe I accidentally disconnected it???):

Or even a (scrollable) matrix of Inputs and Outputs:

Would anyone-else (especially users learning about modular synthesizers) find this useful?

Great idea !

That would really help reverse engineering patches, especially.

I'd love to see something like this with patch sheets / diagrams which make wiring up so much quicker.

Just revisited this thread and think that this is a great idea, particularly in the light of my earlier comment on the "new users like documentation :)" thread on the Module Designer sub-forum ! :D

I especially like the (scrollable) matrix of Inputs and Outputs.

Bumpitation, because this would be a huge workflow improvement, especially for reopening two or more months old complex projects. " ... mmmm ... what was that for anyway ? ... mmm ... let's see .... mmm...."
