No sound in Studio One v3 - Win 7 x64

Post by spacef »

Hi!

I have no sound from Voltage Modular in Studio One v 3 , win 7 x64

Midi in led does not react eventhoug track receives midi.

So the bug could be midi ?

Other plugins work fine.

Hi spacef,

What happens if you do something simple, like plug an oscillator output into the 1L main output? Do you hear audio?

If MIDI isn't getting to the instrument, then the MIDI input light won't light up. Is it possible you're loading Voltage Modular FX instead of Voltage Modular? The FX plug-in might not receive MIDI data quite so easily. Make sure you're loading the instrument version ("Voltage Modular") and not the insert effect version ("Voltage Modular FX"). Let us know!

Thanks,
Dan

Hi,

No in Studio One it is not possible to confuse Fx and Instruments. The Voltage Modular FX does not appear in the instrument list and cannot be loaded in a track, only as an insert of the mixer.

I also noticed that no input of Voltage Modular is listed as a side-chain or aux input in Studio One win7 x64

It is not a user mistake.

Midi and audio inputs are not correct (audio in 3/4 in standalone, and all audio ins + midi in a plugin in Studio one

Here are two pics

1// pic of an oscillator connected directly to the oputput, no midi (in plugin mode) vu meters should show something, but nothing. Repeatable : always

2// As standalone, midi and audio work fine **most of the time** but audio 3/4 don't work (check vu meters).

PS: I tried with both oscillators (regular and "poly")

We've been able to reproduce this issue with the VST3 of Voltage Modular in Studio One. The Voltage Modular FX effect works fine, but Studio One isn't processing any audio through our VST3 instrument. We've run dozens of tests, and the VST3 works perfectly in every other VST3-capable DAW we've tried.

However, the VST2 works great in Studio One. If you want to use Voltage Modular in Studio One for the time being, you can uninstall the VST3 files, or just delete the .vst3 files for Voltage Modular. If you're on Windows, you'll find them in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Voltage Modular.

Please let us know what happens! We'll continue to try to work with Presonus to figure this out.

Thanks!

Voltage Modular 0.9.2 is now fully compatible with Studio One. Thanks for reporting this issue!
